BATMAN IN THE UK - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!!

HEY KIDS! Today's theme for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is inspired by England and here are a few BATMAN Wallpaper-Backgrounds to celebrate! First off is a nice high-res photo of a very tiny Eaglemoss Figure with the Dark Knight on his Bat-Cycle. Eaglemoss is based in Britain and started to make cool Bat-Collectibles a few years ago. This Bat-Cycle Figure was one they made a year or two ago. Right now, they're heavily into creating Batman Chess Pieces you can buy individually.

Next, is a promo photo from the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour Show. This started in the UK to rave reviews. This month it's going to be in Germany and Austria. I can't wait till it finally hits the US!! Stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com for more news on that!

VINTAGE BATMAN COLLECTIBLES - Chewing Gum and Candy!

For new readers, the BAT-BLOG.COM is mainly about the joys of being a Collector of the Toys and other fun Bat-Memorabilia, both new and vintage. Here are some examples of older items that are sort of "Candy or Chewing Gum" related. The 1st photo is probably the rarest of all the ones shown here, it's a Package for 1966 BATMAN CANDY STICKS from England. I totally love the graphics on this thing!

Next up is another UK Candy item except they're a little more new. These were also Candy Sticks but featured art from BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES. They were made by the Thorneycroft Candy Company, which British people would probably be familiar with.

Then we have a photo of some individually-wrapped JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Tattoo Bubble Gum! These were made in the USA by the Fleer Candy Co. between 1969 and 1970. When you open the tiny wax wrapper there's a separate piece of paper with one of those water-based tattoos on it. I actually have one of these, with BATMAN... unopened!

OK, last but not least, is a photo a Friend sent me awhile back because he knew it would torture me, ha! Shown here is a completely full PEZ CANDY DISPENSER Store Display Box!! This is from the mid 1970's and oh my god, they were only 59 cents, ha! We got the Penguin, Joker, Batgirl, batman, and Wonder Woman. Oh yeah, these were also the "rubber head" versions which are way harder to find.

Listen, the BAT-BLOG is about sharing the love of collecting old Bat-Toys and even the new stuff. So, if you have some pics of super-rare items or if you come across some totally brand-new merchandise then please let us know, thanks!

Here are some brand new very fun BATMAN Toys to collect! Well, for our friends in Europe anyway! Tesco Stores there have an exclusive on the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Mini-Mix Figures and Card Game. Based on the hit TV animated series, each Action Pack comes with a figure, action comic and game card. There are 12 to collect!

Here's a list:
Batman, Black Manta, Gentleman Ghost, Gorilla Grodd, The Joker, Plastic Man, Flying Batman, Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Hanjar Ro, Aquaman, and The Atom!

OK, now these are sold both online and at actual TESCO Stores all over Europe. We have included a Store Map here ( last pic ) and you can see that they are mostly focused in England and Ireland but also appear to have shops in France, The Netherlands, & Belgium... maybe? Sorry, for more info on store locations please be sure to visit their website. Also, here's the BATMAN MINI-MIX official website where you can get more information, just click HERE! They sell the packs online but I'm not sure if they ship to the USA ( The only way to find out would be to complete the order form. If you live in the US & manage to order some from them, please let us know ). Also, a Special THANK YOU goes out to our Good Friend Guenter in Germany for letting us know about these ultra-cool toys!

Cool BATMAN FANS Have The Best Halloween Costumes!

Oh Yeah, we're really excited about Halloween this year & thanks to many BAT-BLOG Reader Submissions we will be posting extremely cool BATMAN AND ROBIN Halloween Costume pics all week! Some photos are recent & many are totally vintage. Here's a nice example of both.

The 1st pic was sent in by our friend John. Back in 1992 he & his Wife were the Caped Crusader and Catwoman, MEOW! It looks like they had a great time & the costumes look awesome! ( Thanks John )

Next up, is a wonderful photo from our friend Richard who lives in England! This picture was taken last year at Halloween. Richard was dressed-up as Batman & you see him here holding his Daughter, Brooke. She's precious & this photo is sweet. ( Thanks Richard & please tell Brooke we said, "Happy Halloween!" )

NEW BATMAN CHESS Board Game - DC COLLECTION by UK Eaglemoss

For our friends in England, the UK Eaglemoss Company has just announced a brand-new product called the "DC CHESS COLLECTION". Which is kinda weird because basically it's a BATMAN CHESS SET! They pretty much sell the game pieces one at a time ( I think you have to subscribe ) & each piece comes with a special magazine featuring origin stories of that character. They have already announced the 1st five Characters / Game Pieces ( shown here ) & teased about the next three ( Catwoman, Red Hood, & Hush ). The 5 include: Batman, Robin, Joker, Commissioner Gordon, & Two-Face. I scanned their website like crazy trying to find out how tall these pieces are, but nothing, sorry. There will also be a special BATMAN SYMBOL Game Board & a FREE binder to hold your magazines. For more information, just click HERE!
