Look for it to hit Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 at 10:00 am (ET/PT).Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment are teaming up to present DC Nation, a full hour of exclusive kids' television programming and shorts based on DC Comics characters. Full of action and humor, DC Nation brings some of the most beloved and legendary heroes — as well as some lesser-known cult favorites — from the pages of DC Comics to the screens of a whole new generation of fans. Anchored by Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice, DC Nation will premiere Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m. (ET, PT).Rounding out this branded block of original programming will be a number of shorts featuring DC Comics super heroes and characters as you have never seen them before. With fresh designs and concepts, fan favorites such as Plastic Man and Doom Patrol will finally take center stage next to the likes of Wonder Woman and Teen Titans. Bringing them to life will be the result of a collaboration with some of the top talents in the animation industry, which include award-winning Aardman Studios (Arthur Christmas, Wallace and Gromit) with its stop-motion clay animation techniques, and the unique direction and character designs of Lauren Faust (The Powerpuff Girls, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic). In addition to these shorts, DC Nation will also feature event programming, interstitials, exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at theatrical motion pictures and an insider look into the world of all things DC Comics.
I've been meaning to get this up for some time but it's so worth it! Awhile back, we got an e-mail from a BAT-BLOG FAN named Scott McMahon aka Scoot. It turns out that "Scoot" is a very talented Graphic Artist and he wanted to share some of his art. We're super glad he did, it's very cool stuff! This is a Digital Drawing inspired by BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY! OK, his drawing style is obviously more "Batman the Animated Series" than the dark and gritty tone of the Video Game but we did say "inspired". You see, in the game our favorite Dark Knight battles a ton of different Villains and this art represents that. Plus, I love the "Cartoon-Style"! Speaking of that, if you wanna see more of Scott's work then please click HERE!( Thanks Scott for sharing your fun artwork, keep up the good work! )

Check out these awesome BATMAN AND ROBIN HALLOWEEN COSTUME Photos sent in by 2 loyal Bat-Blog Fans! The 1st one is from our friend Mike & this is a picture of his Son Jonah dressed as Batman's Sidekick, Robin! This is from last year, 2010. You gotta love the pride & joy written all over his face! I mean, Jonah is SUPER AWESOME in his fun costume!! Plus, it looks like the "Animated Series" version of Robin, so that's cool too.
Next up is another Batman Fan & this guy's name is Chris. He's a 4th grade teacher in Kansas. This photo was from Halloween last year when he surprised the kids by dressing up as the Dark Knight. Oh man, can you imagine their faces when they all saw BATMAN enter the classroom, ha! Oh yeah, as a last minute thing I thought I would show a close-up photo of his Custom Bat-Belt, it's got some great detailing. Thanks to everybody for sending pics, they're really great & I appreciate it. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Starting tonight, rich people lucky enough to be able to afford full Digital Cable, can start enjoying BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES on the HUB Channel! Now, I was going to list the time it comes on but I discovered that it will be different for various time zones. So, you'll have to check your local listings for dates. Please remember, they also have the classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show and "Batman Beyond". To celebrate, I've created this "BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES" Desktop Wallpaper for you to enjoy. Just click on the graphic up above.
Here's a quick post to show some of the New Images of some ROBIN SKINS that will hopefully be made available for everybody who plays the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. They are, from left to right: RED ROBIN ( Comic Book version ), ROBIN ( Regular "Arkham City" version ), and ROBIN ( From TV's "Batman The Animated Series" Cartoon ). Now, I'm sure they will probably release many many more, ha! But right now, my personal favorite is the "Animated version"... Cool!
I recently got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan who said that he wants to get a Batman Tattoo in the "Animated Series" Art Style ( Awesome! ). He plans on having Batman & another Villain. His 2 choices for the bad guy are either The Riddler or Mr. Freeze. He said that his main problem is trying to find some decent graphics to use. He's done a Google "Image Search" & came up with nothing. I tried too & was surprised by how little there was online. So, this post is to ask Bat-Blog Readers out there if YOU have any decent pics, or ideas where to find them, then please shoot us an email. Now, my idea is for him to hit a Comic Book Store & dig through the back issues. There were a few different titles that had the "animated series" characters. The graphic up above is an example. I think if he dug into a few of these books he could find some comic panels that have awesome graphics.
