1960's BATMAN and ROBIN The BOY WONDER - Memorabilia - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Being a little kid during the 1966 BATMAN TV Show was a great time to be alive! No matter how you felt about the Television Series the marketing was insane and they made a TON of cool Batman Toys and Collectibles! This week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is sort of inspired by that. These Bat-Backgrounds were made using photos of 2 very cool pieces of 60's merchandise, Vinyl Placemats, featuring graphics of Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder! Actually, the one of "Robin" better represents the real product as the item was a die-cut image of the figure & the cape made-up most of the surface area... but you get the idea!

Some Brand-New & Unusual BATMAN ITEMS in Stores Now!

OK, We just got 2 very nice reports fro a few Friends who have spotted some weird & wacky pieces of BATMAN Merchandise that are in stores now! The 1st pic is from our Good Pal Christopher Franchi & he saw this Fisher-Price DC SUPER FRIENDS Batman (with ATV) Action Figure at Wal-Mart. He said that it was NOT in the regular toy area, but in the "Holiday Section". I'm guessing they're marketing it as an Easter Basket item.

Next, is an extremely fun photo sent to us by Ace Bat-Reporter BatDave! Here are some very cool Batman-themed School Supplies his Girlfriend spotted at Target! They have Bat-Folders & Notebooks with Classic Comic Book artwork! He also said they were on Clearance too, a great deal, grab them while you can! Hey, if YOU spot any new BATMAN merchandise out there in the stores then please let us know.

VINTAGE BATMAN TOYS AND NOVELTIES Magazine - April 1966

Here is the cover and all the inside pages to a Vintage "Trade Publication" Magazine called TOYS AND NOVELTIES that was published around April 15th, 1966. This was a special item sent to Toy Retailers, like Department Stores ( think Sears & Montgomery Wards ) and Toy Stores ( mostly "Mom & Pop" type places ). Basically, it featured new products coming out that season plus information for the Wholesalers. Today this issue is special to "Vintage Batman Toy Collectors" because it was the "Bat-Issue"!

Shown here are all the advertisements for cool Batman items coming out. Today it's a treasure trove of super-rare collectibles. Seriously, I've been an extremely hardcore Toy Collector hunting down Bat-Merchandise for over 20+ years & I have NEVER seen some of these items!! We get to see all of these pages because of the kindness of a fellow Bat-Fan named David. So, a special THANK YOU goes out to him for scanning these pages, you ROCK, Sir!

BANE ATTACK!! I knew it wouldn't be long till the "Batman Merchandising Machine" would start going crazy with BANE items! Yes, they're gonna try to capitalize on the character's popularity because of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie. But what's cool in the recent sudden burst of Bane T-Shirts I've seen they all feature the "Comic Book Version" of BANE! But don't worry, I'm sure there will also be a ton of "Tom Hardy" related-items too. I'm also pretty sure that CATWOMAN is gonna be next and even bigger, MEOW! Hey, if you want any of these BANE T-Shirts then here's where they're at, just click HERE!

Brand-New BATMAN Invisible Ink Books with Stickers

Here's a fun Batman item to keep an eye out for! Shown here are two brand-new BATMAN Activity Books made by Lee Publications for 2012. The idea is to use your Magic Invisible Ink Pen to fill in the dotted areas revealing invisibly printed pictures and answers. Then match your stickers to the appropriate spot. The books each measure about 5 1/2" x 8 1/8" with 23 pages of adventure! You can find them at many retail stores but I was told that they're actually cheaper to buy directly from their website, just click HERE!

BATMAN DOLLAR STORE ITEMS - Buster Approved!

Shown here are a few brand new items to keep an eye out for the next time you hit the Dollar Store. Actually, these were found at a Retail Outlet on the East Coast called "DEAL$", so they might be a little hard to find in other regional areas. Like, I live in Oklahoma City and haven't seen them yet. But sooner or later they will pop-up!

Anyways, the new products are Batman 2-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo ( Tear-Free, because Batman doesn't cry! ), Batman Bubble Bath ( Bubble Gum Scented! ), and Batman Body Wash. They also sell a neat BATMAN Hand Towel. All this cool stuff, only $1.00 each!

Now, you're probably wondering what's the deal with the Two Cute Kids and the Crazy Dog, ha ha! Well, they are the nieces of our friend BatDave and the Dog's name is BUSTER! They wanted to model these new products for you, which is great, but they also wanted to share that their Dog BUSTER totally loves the Batman Shampoo! On a side-note: I want to thank these wonderful kids for their support of this site, they ROCK!! Also, BUSTER THE BAT-HOUND RULES!
