Jumper.

Did this elephant hockey referee today on Clayton.
My last tattoo of November
(only one month left in MPLS, kids).
Then off to visit family for the holidays,
and out to Oregon for the next three months.
If you didn't book your appointment for before I leave,
you might be too late.
(though i hear that Handsome Adam might be taking bribes to fit you in)

I also tattooed Nona of Dark Dark Dark today.
She didn't sing any DDD for us,
but she did sing some Third Eye Blind as she filled out her paperwork.
no kidding.
I mean, it wasn't her fault,
Ben has it on the ipod for some reason,
and that shit is SO catchy.
(if you like her singing in DDD,

Anyway, it's after 2am,
which means December is here,
and 2011 is almost over.
Hope your 11 months have been good so far.
If not, you've got 31 days to make it better.

I don't even exercise.

As Josh and I were working on his lion/deadbird tattoo,
he said I could do whatever I wanted with the rest of his arm.
No kidding.
I've had a few of those offers lately,
and I couldn't be more flattered.
(but sometimes it feels like:
"Oh good, my way. Thank you Vizzini... Which way's my way?")

So this is what got started on today;
an elephant shooting fire from it's trunk.
And flowers, of course,
though most of those are tucked under his arm.

It was a lot of outlining,
and since the next appointment isn't for a whole month,
I wanted to share the progress.

Chef's Choice

Saturdays book out pretty far in advance.
But sometimes we have last minute cancellations,
leaving us with a wide open day,
and a measly $60 deposit for us to dry our eyes with.
In order to cheer myself up last minute,
I put out a call for any brave soul willing to get a
"you get what you get" tattoo to fill the spot.
That's what this was.
6 hours.
It's going to have more added to the background,
and a few little details added,
and then I'll get a healed photo.

There's lots of exciting things on the horizon right now,
and I have a new fire in my belly.
Tomorrow kicks off the first of "Painting Mondays",
a weekly art session that I've carved out a space in my week for,
since otherwise painting rarely ever happens.
I hope to have lots to show for it soon.
