Finally......

We closed on the house today, and now own this little castle in MPLS. That pretty much means if you live on the East Coast, and you want a tattoo, you should get a spot during any of the conventions or guest spots that I post about, since I'll be keeping it Midwest for a while.
See you all next on the East Coast for my Off the Map guest spot in MA over Thanksgiving.

The Bird Flu is Everywhere.

Thanks to Lori of North Hampton Mass, for not only wearing a Bird Flu Crew shirt in a transgender pride parade, but having some hater take a picture of it, and put it up on a website. The hate blogger pointed out her and Heather (not pictured) for being tattooed women (as if that's a bad thing!), and during his mockfest typing rampage he misspelled "tattoo". Oh, you massholes!
I'd link to the site, but I don't want him getting any more hits, and thinking his message was getting out there.
I did steal his picture though!

IWYS V

The new I Want Your Skull is on sale here. This is one of the promo pages, showcasing the work of Todd (on the left) and I(on the right). Kevin McNutt has a piece in there as well, making it an Identity Tattoo packed issue. I'm sure there will be copies available at the shop as well, if you don't have Paypal.
Not familiar with iwantyourskull.com? Awesome site, check it out.

What a Phrase?!

A tattoo which I did for my customer today, made me understand of how comical life can be in its own way. It made me realise of how simple life is.

A beautiful tattoo which not many would prefer it on their body. A statement which differs you from the rest. Well, it is for life - So might as well, live with it !!

A most brutal trip to Connecticut.

Not even rivers flooding highways in Wisconsin and shutting down the entire Madison area could stop Meryl and I, and she drove through a lake road without getting us stuck. There may or may not have been a state of emergency in WI that added about 4 hours to our already insane trip, and we totaled 26+ hours on the road straight.
Since arriving I've babysat drunken gorillas, had backyard fires at 4 am, tattooed 4 new antler creatures in one day, hit the noodle house with my sister, and got to hang with the tyrant/ghostship posse.
I still have the wedding coming up this Friday, and we leave for MN on Saturday.

I got new stickers in the mail. 123stickers messed up my order, and wanted me to pay EXTRA for the fact that they messed up. Pretty lame if you ask me. So, for all the people I've recommended either them or stickerguy! to, please just go to stickerguy. Customer service is a big deal to me. There's a lot of companies who have messed up an order, and because of their response, only made me like them even more.

Two more days before I leave for Connecticut. See you there.

Demon

Feel the wrath !! Another random Demon tattoo.

Connecticut, I'll be there soon.

Meryl and I are driving straight to Connecticut this coming Thursday night, all 22 hours in one shot, stopping only for gas and bathroom breaks. Why? Because driving is better than flying, especially these days. Sitting in a small Honda Accord is better than sitting in a way too small plane seat, and staying awake for too many hours is something you need to do every once in a while to keep from getting old. When was the last time you stayed up all night, and got to see the sun come up over the highway in front of you?
It's been a while for me, probably 4 years or so. So we're headed east toward the Atlantic.
Salt water, bagels and Andy Weld's wedding. That's the plan. But before the wedding is the bachelor party, thrown by the super organized, always prepared, and ever industrious Jason McManus.
June 14th, at the Wallingford VFW.
Here's the front of the stag party ticket, shot here in Minneapolis during Andy and Jay's trip out to visit us in October. I'm sorry we tricked you, Andrew.*
See all of you CT folks soon.

*(....no, I'm not.)

Q&A.

Berserker Barbarian Battle-Beast stickers for Never Quiet Never Soft? We got them, but you can't ask nicely, that won't do at all. Stop in the shop, or send me real mail to get a few. Curtesy of Albie Rock

Another Antler-Creature that needs to be a tattoo before we get hit with yet another hail storm? I have a few drawn up, but this old man needs to be done the soonest.

Off the Map Tattoo Guest Spot

Meryl and I will be headed East again this November, and I'll be doing a guest spot at Off the Map Tattoo in East Hampton, MA during the week of Thanksgiving. I'll start on the Monday the 24th, and finish that Sunday, while taking off for Thanksgiving.
It's a pretty amazing shop, you can follow the link below for more info on it.
To book a spot with me, check in with me about the date/time you want, we'll schedule it, and then you can leave a deposit with Off the Map. Once the deposit is given, the shop will confirm the appointment with me.
I have been working really hard since moving out to Minneapolis, and look forward to bringing my new stuff out to the East Coast for an entire week.
Book an appointment with me soon, I can promise I won't have spots free for long.

A rough transition into June

May ended with a pretty insane hailstorm. I was tattooing, had no idea what the noise was, so we went outside to see gumball sized hail beating down pretty hard.
Then, it ended, and there was a double rainbow.
Goodbye, May.

The next day, Elias, Michelle and I went for a walk around the old mill ruins on the Mississippi River.
There's some old grain tunnels under the streets, and they're all sealed up.
Unless you happen to find the one little door that is not sealed up, and then you have an adventure.
Hello, June.

Tribal Chest

Had a customer walk in today to get something around the tribal dragon which he already had. So I created something for him and did what I was suppose to do.

He left with a big smile on his face. Another satisfied customer at Immortal Tattoos, Singapore !!

Please note that the Tribal Dragon was NOT done by me.
