Meryl and I are driving straight to Connecticut this coming Thursday night, all 22 hours in one shot, stopping only for gas and bathroom breaks. Why? Because driving is better than flying, especially these days. Sitting in a small Honda Accord is better than sitting in a way too small plane seat, and staying awake for too many hours is something you need to do every once in a while to keep from getting old. When was the last time you stayed up all night, and got to see the sun come up over the highway in front of you?
It's been a while for me, probably 4 years or so. So we're headed east toward the Atlantic.
Salt water, bagels and Andy Weld's wedding. That's the plan. But before the wedding is the bachelor party, thrown by the super organized, always prepared, and ever industrious Jason McManus.
June 14th, at the Wallingford VFW.
Here's the front of the stag party ticket, shot here in Minneapolis during Andy and Jay's trip out to visit us in October. I'm sorry we tricked you, Andrew.*
See all of you CT folks soon.
*(....no, I'm not.)
