With a Release Date of June 27th, 2012 the MEZCO TOY Company will be coming out with some cool Mez-Itz Vinyl Figures of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman movie. It looks like they'll make New Batman, Bane, and Catwoman Toys! They will also be re-releasing the Bat-Pod Motorcycle and the Tumbler Batmobile (Camouflage Version). It's also important to note that there will be two different sizes of figures: 2-Inch and 6-inch. The vehicles are scaled for the smaller figures. Here are some prototype graphics to give you an idea. As soon as actual product photos are released then you'll see them first right here at the BAT-BLOG.COM. So, please stay tuned! Also, if YOU see ANY brand-new BATMAN Toys or Merchandise then please let us know!
OK, It's a little late in the day but it's still Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!! Here are some FREE BATMAN WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS you might enjoy. To make them, I used some Promo Art originally created for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie merchandise. One of them is a brand-new "Batman on his Bat-Pod Motorcycle" Toy that I think will probably be made by Mattel. The other is some standard Promotional Artwork.
I started to notice a trend in my PC Bat-Folder so I thought I'd do this "Tribute" post about BATMAN Bat-Vehicles! The 1st photo I'm pretty proud of. This is our friend Darren's CUSTOM 1966 BAT-BOAT! Yeah, he's building this thing in his garage and he has been working on it forever. I mean, he's totally MAKING it! Here's a nice shot to show the wonderful progress he's made so far. It looks like he's started work on the Bat-Fin... Cool!
Next up is an extremely RARE 1960's Japanese Tin Toy Airplane BAT-JET owned by our buddy Bat-Cat in Thailand. This guy has some incredible "Museum Quality" type stuff. I totally love the Vintage Graphics on this thing!!
The Ford Mustang "Custom Batmobile" is a photo shared by a friend on Facebook. I don't care WHO you are, you gotta admit that it's a beautiful Masterpiece of ART, ha!
The last photo is kinda fun and goes back to the "Toys Theme". Here's a totally brand-new product that's just come out. This is the Dark Knight BAT-POD Motorcycle Plastic Model Kit by Moebius Models. I have not built a kit in many many years but this one is tempting me, ha!
Check out these wonderful photos sent-in by our Good Friend Jerry who lives in Taiwan. He recently went to a Toy Collector Exhibit of HOT TOYS Figures in Taipei City. They showcased a ton of different dolls they have made but because we're all about BATMAN, and have limited space, we're gonna focus on the ones of the Dark Knight.
All the Batman-related dolls were set-up individually in special showcases. Then, they they took a few extra dolls ( I mean, Figures! ) where they build extremely detailed dioramas of imagined scenes from THE DARK KNIGHT Movie using Batman ( Christian Bale version ), The Joker ( Heath Ledger ), the Bat-Pod Motorcycle, and the Tumbler Batmobile Car.
They also had the Batman ( Michael Keaton ) and Joker ( Jack Nicholson ) Figures from the 1989 Movie. But they were not included in the dioramas.
A Special Thanks goes out to Jerry for thinking about the BAT-BLOG.COM and getting these great pics, Thank You Sir!!
Next year, around April 2012, be sure to keep an eye out for these special DARK KNIGHT MOVIE 2" Mini Mez-itz Figures and Toy Vehicles made by MEZCO. They will be sold in different boxed sets. The 1st one will feature the TUMBLER Batmobile & it comes with a Mini-Batman 2" Mez-itz Figure.
The next one will also be a "Vehicle Boxed Set" & it comes with Batman, The Joker, and The Bat-Pod Motorcycle all packaged together in a special collector window box.
Then, a 3rd Set will have four 2" Mez-itz Figures and you'll get Batman, The Joker, Scarecrow and Two-Face!
Then, the last 2 photos show some BATMAN and JOKER Figures that are going to be a little bigger, at 6" tall ( and also, sold separately ).
This week we thought we would post some BATMAN WALLPAPERS that celebrate the vehicles used in the recent DARK KNIGHT movie. We're mainly talking about the Tumbler Batmobile & Bat-Pod motorcycle. Of course both of these will also make an appearance ( flashback scenes) in the next Bat-Film, The Dark Knight Rises!
This is just a very quick post to share a few brand-new photos shot during the filming of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman movie showing Anne Hathaway in her new Catwoman Costume getting ready to take a ride on the Bat-Pod Motorcycle. MEOW!!
Shown here are a few prototype pics of 2 Brand-New BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Plastic Model Kits that will be released by Moebius Models near the end of September, 2011. They're gonna make a Tumbler Batmobile ( 1:25 Scale ), a Bat-Pod Motorcycle( 1:25 Scale ),and a Set of 3 Figures ( no photos on those yet ). The best picture here is the Bat-Pod, click on it for way more detail. They're gonna retail for around $15 so be sure to look for them later. Also, once we get better pics we will share them here.
For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post a few Batman Backgrounds that celebrate the new 2012 movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. So, here are a few scenes when they were filming in Pittsburgh.
The 1st one show Selina Kyle ( Anne Hathaway's Stunt Double ) stealing the Bat-Pod from Gotham City University. I wish this was Anne Hathaway in the official Catwoman Cat-Suit ( no release of that Costume photo yet, but stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com ). I think that this is only what she wears early on to steal the vehicle.
OK, speaking of Bat-Vehicles, the next wallpaper is of the Tumbler Batmobile, which will make an early appearance in the film too. Also, it's the "Camouflage" version. I guess it's not been painted black yet, ha!
OK, Just to be clear, this is not Anne Hathaway as Catwoman but her stunt double. But regardless the video is still pretty cool because we not only get to see some of the filming of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES in Pittsburgh, but we get a good view of the Costume and the Bat-Pod Motorcycle!
Warner Bros today "leaked out" some official photos of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle ( Catwoman ) from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie. She's wearing a sleek black "Super Spy" High-Tech Outfit & I think it has more to do with her in her "Selina Kyle" Persona than as Catwoman, the Villain. It looks like she is stealing the BAT-POD Motorcycle Prototype from Gotham University! But anyway, to celebrate we have taken the best high-resolution photo we could find & made these two ANNE HATHAWAY DESKTOP WALLPAPERS, enjoy!
