OK, a friend over at Facebook, named Eddie, shot this totally adorable photo that I knew we had to share here. The story is, He spotted this cute little BATGIRL at the recent 2012 Wondercon in Anaheim, CA. Yes, she is wayyyy too adorable! Great photo Eddie, thanks.
Here's a wonderful vintage family photo taken nearly 34 years ago, March 19th, 1978. This was sent to us from our Friend Carlos who lives in Mexico. Carlos is shown here as Batman! The event was his Brother Ivan's 1st Birthday. Ivan had a great costume too. He was Robin, The Boy Wonder! You can see him sitting on the table. This Costume Party was put together by their Mother and the sweet thing is that she made all the costumes by hand. Homemade costumes are so much better than store-bought ones because there is a lot of LOVE put into them. She did a great job here. Carlos, Thanks for sharing your special photo and when your Brother Ivan has a birthday soon then please tell him we said, "Happy Birthday, Robin!"

Our Friend Alex found some cool photos of some 2012 BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Halloween Costumes that might get made. Well, they will be created, it's just that these pics are "Prototype Only" for now & not official. You get the idea! But hey, they're gonna make suits of Batman, Bane, and Catwoman! ( Thanks Alex ).

We recently got an email where a Friend named Paul shared these wonderful photos with us. This is Paul at an Office Party they had at his work and he showed-up as Batman, The Dark Knight!! I'm always impressed with how creative the "Cosplay People" get at making their special clothing and costumes. The attention to detail is very clever. This Bat-Suit is AWESOME! I really like the Bat-Logo on the chest, a modern version, and the military-style pouches for the Bat-Belt... nice! Thanks for sending these in Paul, good job.
The main thing I love about working on the BAT-BLOG.COM is getting to meet other Batman Fans from all over the world. Here's a wonderful example. This is our friend Youssef as Batman and his Brother is Superman. These homemade costumes are totally great! Plus, I hope I got the information right but Youssef and his brother live in Denmark. So, if that's the case, then that adds an extra layer of coolness to these costumes! Hey, if anyone else has some fun pictures like this then please share them, thanks.

Here's a post of random BATMAN AND ROBIN Humor Photos and Comic Strips that are pretty funny. The 1st one is the Republican Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann. ( No, we are NOT endorsing her, it's just a funny Batman-related parody photo ). The next pic with the 2 girls in costume is a photo I found awhile back on the internet and it didn't explain what it is. It might have been a photo used in an advertisement or from a High School Yearbook, who knows? But it's kinda funny. Actually, I think it's more cute than funny, ha! The last 2 graphics are obviously "Comic Strips". The 1st one was from a foreign website & I have NO idea what they're saying but if you study the image you can kind of figure it out, ha! The last one is from the 1960's & appeared in a Vintage Paperback Book from around the time the '66 BATMAN TV Show was on. I forget the name of the book, I think it was "BAT-LAFFS", or something like that. I love the retro-style artwork and the Batmobile looks cool too, ha!
Have you recently seen a funny Batman Photo or Parody? If so, then please share it to us. Our email button is always at the top right-hand side of this page, thanks!
Once upon a time, many years ago, there was a little boy named Bruce who, more than anything, wanted to be the Caped Crusader for Halloween. So, one year his Mom had sewn him a wonderful homemade BATMAN Costume. It was not the most totally accurate Bat-Suit, but it worked and the important thing was that it was made out of love. Well, on that night Bruce vowed he would someday have the very very best BATMAN Bat-Suit ever constructed. Now flash forward to the year 2011, here it is! ( Thanks Bruce for sharing these great pics. Also, Please tell your Mom she did well ).
OK, I've been meaning to publish this for awhile but I keep getting sidetracked. So, I decided this morning that I was gonna post it first thing, no matter what! The thing is, before Halloween I kept posting pictures of Batman Costumes ( 2 or 3 every day ) and then, because many people didn't have pics until after the Holiday, we got more pictures later. At one point I was kinda thinking, "Hey, I don't want people to thing that this blog is about nothing but Costumes". Ha Ha!Whoops, sorry for my long explanation. I just want our friend Nick, who sent us this GREAT Photo, to know that we didn't forget about him or didn't care about this pic. We do, it's very cool and all the Batman-inspired Costumes here are totally insane! ( Be sure to click on it for a larger, more detailed, graphic ). Nick's costume is the "Gaslight Batman". This is a very obscure version of the Dark Knight from the Classic "Batman: Gotham By Gaslight" Elseworlds Graphic Novel set in the 1880's. Nick's suit is really unique & very well done! Some of Nick's friends were there too and they all had incredible costumes! His friend Josh was Mr. Freeze, Amos was the Joker, and you can see Paul as Ra's Al Ghul! Every single one of these outfits are extremely impressive! A special thanks goes out to these guys for sharing this wonderful event, especially Nick.

OK, I gotta say that Actress Anne Hatahaway is looking mighty mighty fine in her sweet little CATWOMAN Cat-Suit, MEOW! Now, I can't wait to see the next Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, in 2012!

OK, who doesn't LOVE Nachos? Ha! Here's a funny photo we got from our friend Billyman in his cool bat-suit! I guess he got hungry while out fighting crime & decided to hit the local 7-Eleven for nourishment, ha! That 1st photo doesn't show the full costume, and it's pretty amazing, so check out this 2nd shot. I really like the "Yellow Capsule" Bat-Belt & the Bat-Cowl is pretty awesome too. The whole thing is meant to have a RETRO-STYLE look, sort of like the way Batman was in the 1970's. Just think about the comic book artwork of Neal Adams or even the "Super Friends" animated cartoon... AWESOME! Thanks Billyman, YOU ROCK, Sir!

OK, I know it's not a contest or anything, but out of all the photos submitted this year to the Bat-Blog in celebration of Halloween, this Super-Cute Costume of HARLEY QUINN has got to be the most precious one! This pretty little girl's name is Lane and, even though she's only a few months old, she experienced her very first Halloween in complete and total style! Her Mom, Jennifer, said, "I started sewing it before she was born and had to make a few modifications when she finally arrived ( she was smaller than I imagined ). I did all the hand smocking around the neckline in a diamond pattern to be reminiscent of Harley Quinn and then accented it with tiny white pom poms. The black and white dress and diaper cover have diamond appliques and of course there's also a hood and mask, which she wore without any fuss - pretty great for a newborn!"
Yes, VERY great I gotta say! Thanks Jennifer for sharing this special event & the wonderful photos. Lane is the Cutest Little Harley Quinn...ever!

I woke-up this morning to find a ton of great Halloween Costume Photos sent in by BAT-BLOG Fans who are going totally crazy this Halloween! Crazy, like the Joker! Yes, a few pics were all Joker-related so I thought I'd do one post to cover them all. Now, to be fair, I'm posting them in the order that I got them. But they're all completely GREAT in their own way. Check 'em out! The 1st pic is our friend Paul who did a great job with the Joker make-up. I also like his pose, he looks like he is a little bit insane, ha ha ha! Next up is a nice Family Portrait with Batman, Joker, & Robin! Our friend Lauren is the Joker & his Buddy Kman is Robin, the Boy Wonder! Great pic guys & you all look AWESOME!Now, last but not least, is our friend Maggie. She said she found this Purple Jacket in a Thrift Store, it's perfect! What a good find! Plus, the rest of her costume & make-up is great too. Well, it looks like certain cities are gonna have to deal with the Joker this Halloween. I wanna thank everybody who shared their special photos. Posting these pics has been a lot of fun! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!

Check out these awesome BATMAN AND ROBIN HALLOWEEN COSTUME Photos sent in by 2 loyal Bat-Blog Fans! The 1st one is from our friend Mike & this is a picture of his Son Jonah dressed as Batman's Sidekick, Robin! This is from last year, 2010. You gotta love the pride & joy written all over his face! I mean, Jonah is SUPER AWESOME in his fun costume!! Plus, it looks like the "Animated Series" version of Robin, so that's cool too.
Next up is another Batman Fan & this guy's name is Chris. He's a 4th grade teacher in Kansas. This photo was from Halloween last year when he surprised the kids by dressing up as the Dark Knight. Oh man, can you imagine their faces when they all saw BATMAN enter the classroom, ha! Oh yeah, as a last minute thing I thought I would show a close-up photo of his Custom Bat-Belt, it's got some great detailing. Thanks to everybody for sending pics, they're really great & I appreciate it. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Shown here are some older photos sent in by our friend Cully. The 1st one is his Son, as Batman, in a classic pose delivering a punch to the Joker, ha! The next few pics are Cully & he has been many different variations of Batman over the years. There's a "Movie Version" that's great! That "Batman Beyond" version is insane! Speaking of crazy, check out the last pic, there's the Joker!! I wanna thank Cully for sharing these fun memories with us. We wanna wish him & his family the very best Halloween this year, and to everybody else, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
