OK, Like the ultra cool 1989 BATMAN Movie Figures ( Michael Keaton and Jack "Joker" Nicholson ) and '89 Batmobile are not torture enough, late last night HOT TOYS announced their next wave of Batman-related merchandise, BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY! Yes, they will be making figures inspired by the awesome Video Game! Knowing this company the attention to detail will be insane. Plus, the toys will be extremely cool!! Stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG.COM and as soon as we know more then so will you.
DC Direct just released some promo photos of 2 brand-new Action Figures that will be a part of the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Series. Of course we're talking about characters from the recent video game that ROCKS! Shown here are MISTER FREEZE and KILLER CROC!! On man, they look awesome, especially the one of Victor Freeze!! OK, they're both about 7 1/4" tall, will have special packaging, and go on sale around June 6th, 2012.
OK, I know the next major Film Villians in the next Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, is gonna be Bane and Catwoman! But I thought it would be fun to pay tribute to the character known as TWO-FACE (Also, Harvey Dent ). So, here are some wacky Wallpaper Backgrounds you will hopefully enjoy, ha!
The first one is a scene from the recent BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. This version of the character looked really good & was a great enemy to fight. Next up is an image from an older Graphic Novel. This is from the "DARK VICTORY" comic book storyline. It's got the Joker in there too so that's cool.
Then the last one is my favorite. This is a very detailed photo of the HOT TOYS "Harvey Dent/Two-Face" Figure from their DARK KNIGHT MOVIE Toy Line.
OK, I think this is the very first JOKER TATTOO I've seen from the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game! Our friend Alex sent us this photo last night & said he just got this ink done the other day. He, too, thinks it's the only version of the Joker that he's seen. That's cool. I bet Mark Hamill would be very proud of this. The Joker looks totally sick right here. Plus, it has some great color and shading, AWESOME! ( Thanks Alex )
OK, I thought this was pretty classy! In appreciation of supporting the Video Game Website for BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Rocksteady Studios has just released a FREE "Batman Inc." Skin for you to use in your Batman: Arkham City game! Yes, you read that right, free!
You will be able to download the skin tomorrow from Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network and Games for Windows Marketplace.
They also know you want to deliver justice on the streets of Gotham as Batman in your favorite skin, any time and all the time. So using the below cheat, you can select any alternative Batman skin and play them in the main game, without having to complete the full game.
To unlock this, simply press the following combination on the Main Menu screen (after you have selected your save slot):
DC Direct just announced that next year they will release the 2nd wave of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY - SERIES 2 Action Figures! We'll get to hunt down Batman ( Detective Mode ), Catwoman ( Meow! ), The Riddler, Hush, and Jervis Tetch The Mad Hatter! Look for these new toys around April 25th, 2012.
Here's a cool video I found the other day that uses BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game visuals blended with the TV Cartoon Intro to BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES. The editing is pretty decent. Plus, it's nice to hear that old Theme Music again... enjoy!
It looks like Warner Bros has created a version of BATMAN ARKHAM CITY called "LOCKDOWN" that is specifically made for Apple iPhone & iPad. Now, it only cost $5.99 so I doubt if it's going to be the entire video game all complete, maybe a few battles, but it looks pretty cool! One side note is EXCLUSIVE to this game is the character, Deathstroke!
This video is brilliant, it combines footage from the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game with the audio of the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES Cartoon TV Show Intro. Well played, Sir.
Over at the GAMESRADAR Video Game News Website they did a totally hilarious mash-up of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY with the 1960's BATMAN TV Show with Adam West, ha ha! It's a really great parody, please enjoy.
I've been meaning to get this up for some time but it's so worth it! Awhile back, we got an e-mail from a BAT-BLOG FAN named Scott McMahon aka Scoot. It turns out that "Scoot" is a very talented Graphic Artist and he wanted to share some of his art. We're super glad he did, it's very cool stuff!
This is a Digital Drawing inspired by BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY! OK, his drawing style is obviously more "Batman the Animated Series" than the dark and gritty tone of the Video Game but we did say "inspired". You see, in the game our favorite Dark Knight battles a ton of different Villains and this art represents that. Plus, I love the "Cartoon-Style"! Speaking of that, if you wanna see more of Scott's work then please click HERE!
( Thanks Scott for sharing your fun artwork, keep up the good work! )
With Christmas around the corner I thought I'd do a post advertising the brand-new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY 2012 Wall Calendar. Of course this is the HOT New Video Game that every Batman Fan loves! Calendars make nice Christmas Gifts and this one with BATMAN is kinda hard to find because it sells out everywhere. But you can get it now by clicking HERE!
The other night I was sort of inspired to create a few BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Wallpaper Backgrounds with some cool graphics I found. I still have not got to play this cool Video Game yet and grow more bitter every day, ha! The general theme with these two are "Villains". So, I present, HARLEY QUINN and the Prince of Crime, The JOKER!!
Check out these awesome graphics by our Buddy Dean Fraser. He's the Graphic Artist known for the popular SPRINGFIELD PUNX website where he makes parodies of famous fictional characters... IF, they were on the Simpsons! Oh yeah, it's a great concept & a very funny idea. This week is "BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY WEEK" at the site. So far he's created BATMAN and HARLEY QUINN. But knowing him he will do every single character that exists in that Video Game. At least, we hope so! Here's a link to check it out, just click here, SPRINGFIELD PUNX! ( Thanks for the heads-up Dean ).
Over at our BAT-BLOG Facebook Page we just met a very serious Batman Collector named Chris who was kind enough to share a few photos of his personal collection. His main focus seems to the THE DARK KNIGHT Movie and more recent Batman stuff. He also really likes the Joker! Hey, who doesn't?! He's got some really great stuff here. My favorite piece is that BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game Store Display Standee with Harley Quinn... Awesome! He also has some cool Movie Posters, Action Figures, Graphic Novels, T-Shirts, and even a JOKER Replica Costume ( Heath Ledger version ) that looks pretty sweeeet! Thanks Chris!!
Just a Friendly Reminder: The "Games For Windows" PC DVD version of the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game will be released on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011! Now those of us who are Losers without a brand-new Playstation 3 or X-Box 360 console can finally play the greatest game ever made, AWESOME!
Our Buddy Mark found this extremely cool YouTube Video that shows you how to open the "BIG HEAD" Easter Egg Mode for altering your character's appearance. It's so funny and now the Batman and Catwoman are so adorable, goo goo goo! ( Thanks Mark! )
The BAT-BLOG.COM posts Free BATMAN Wallpapers every Wednesday. But sometimes we just post them randomly... because we're BAT-CRAZY! Speaking of "insanity", these fun backgrounds all have a general theme, THE JOKER!
The 1st one is a wonderful pencil sketch done by Alex Ross for his ROUGH JUSTICE: THE DC COMICS SKETCHES Art Book. This book was designed by Chip Kidd & published by Pantheon in 2010. It's a great book for comic book fans so be sure to check it out on your next trip to your favorite book store. This image is on inside of the hardback edition's cover ( You'll need to remove the paper dust jacket to see it, it's cool! ).
Next, is another great JOKER image! This is a scene from the brand-new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. No, I have not played this game yet & to all of you who have been playing it awhile, I'm jealous, JEALOUS!!
This post is sort of a response to a previous article posted here at the Bat-Blog. Awhile back we reported that a lot of Retail Stores are starting to throw-away their promo materials for the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game and you better try to score some while you can! Well, Our friend Luis did & he got this cool piece from Game Stop! This Store Display Standee features the Joker & the great thing about this picture is that you can also see some of his other Batman Collection ... cool stuff! Thanks Joel, You ROCK, Sir!
This new video shows the DLC Skins of NIGHTWING you can get for the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. Wow! Now YOU can be Dick Grayson!! There are 2 different versions, the Regular Comic Book Style and a fun "Animated Cartoon Series" Style... cool!
