Here's an anonymous, but very excellent, photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan who recently got some Bat-Ink done! This image of BATMAN is awesome and the Tattoo Artist did a great job with both the shading & colors.

BATMAN LOGO TATTOO ART Inspired by the George Barris 1966 Batmobile Car!

Check out this fresh new Bat-Tat submitted by a Bat-Blog Fan who recently got some ink done. He said his inspiration for this BATMAN TATTOO ART was the 1966 Batmobile Car designed by George Barris and this is the Classic BAT-LOGO Door Emblem. Yes, That's very very cool!

POW! ZAP! Check out this awesome ADAM WEST BATMAN TATTOO inked by "Bleedink Ink" in Grove City, Ohio. This photo was submitted by our Friend Frank who just got this artwork done showing the Dark Knight ( 1966 Batman TV Show ) doing The Batusi Dance! It's a great image, nice coloring, and also has a sense of humor. Nice choice Frank, do the Batusi!

BATMAN TATTOO ART Photos - BAT-SYMBOL LOGOS and 1966 BATMOBILE CAR

Here are 2 amazing BATMAN Tattoo Photos we recently got that show some amazing artwork! The 1st one, done for our Friend Bob, is a special graphic showing 3 different Batman Bat-Symbol Logos, all in one! The design concept is unique and clever. Plus, it looks great!

The 2nd one is very cool too. This is from our Friend Brian, who got this large Tattoo showing Batman and Robin in the 1966 George Barris Batmobile Car!! It's sharp and has great coloring/shading, nice!

I wanna thank both Bob and Brian for sharing their fun pics. Hey Guys, these Bat-Masterpieces of ART look incredible, Thanks! If any other BAT-BLOG.COM Fans get any ink done then please send pics too!

BATMAN TATTOO ART - Extravaganza!

The only word I could think of to describe today's post is "Extravaganza!", ha ha! We did one of our BATMAN TATTOO ART Posts yesterday and was shocked later to get, not one, but THREE messages from Bat-Blog Fans who have got some bat-ink done! They all sent some wonderful photos of their amazing Batman-themed Tattoos. So, let's check 'em out!

The 1st one, in no particular order, was submitted by a friend named Ryan. It features both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy done in a "Batman Animated Series" style. Just think "Bruce Timm" artwork. It also features the Classic Logo for THE JOKER.

Next up is a photo sent to us by a Tattoo Artist named Trish. She told us she did this BATMAN BAT-SYMBOL LOGO for her Friend's Son. It's freakin' SWEEEET!!!

Last, but not least, is this great pic from Victor. We kind of get 2 views of this large Tattoo that has both The Dark Knight AND Catwoman, Meow! I like the BATS Motif in the background, a nice touch. Wow! So thanks to everybody who sent us these cool photos, you people ROCK! We also want to extend invitations to everybody else who has had some ink done. Showcasing Batman Art and Creativity is just one of the many functions of this site. Thank You.

TJ's Cool BATMAN SYMBOL LOGO Tattoo Art

I just got this really great BATMAN TATTOO ART Photo from a Friend over at Facebook. His name is TJ and he got some awesome INK done! Here's the classic yellow oval-shaped Batman Bat-Logo!! It's very well-drawn, plus the coloring is decent ( yellow is hard to fill-in as a solid color so that must have been real painful, ha! ). Thanks TJ for sharing this wonderful picture, your bat-tat looks GREAT! If any other Bat-Blog Fans out there get some ink done then please send us some pics too! Also, please remember, we celebrate art and creativity here in any form.

Five hours of flowers.

Liz and family were in Oregon to celebrate her grandmother's 90th birthday,
but they took a tiny detour to get some tattoo work first.
We had talked about a shoulder cap of flowers back in Minnesota,
and we ended up doing it 1500 miles away.
We stenciled some flowers on,
then drew some more,
looked at it the mirror,
drew more,
and then drew some more.
A little shoulder cap turned into a meandering meadow of flowers.
We integrated it into her waves chestpiece,
though I didn't get a photo of that part yet.
Hopefully, I'll get some healed photos emailed to me soon.

It was cool having a Minnesota client visit me in Grants Pass,
I got to show off my sexy, new, (temporary) tattoo shop.

Today Amy, Jaime, Meryl, the dog and I are headed to the coast again.
We're on the lookout for lighthouses, dead birds, tide pools,
redwoods, moss and mushrooms.
They have to leave tomorrow morning,
so we're doing one last farewell outing.
Having them here has been amazing,
and it's going to be sad and quiet without them around.

But since we have more to do on Amy's sleeve,
I'm booking a guest spot out East for this summer.
I have a list of folks who want some tattoo time,
but spots will be super limited.
If you want in,
send me an email with your idea,
and I'll try to sort out all the details soon.

Erik's New BATMAN TATTOO ART Photos

The BAT-BLOG.COM has a Friend over on Facebook named Erik who lives in Denmark. Erik was kind enough to send us some very cool photos of his BATMAN TATTOO Art. It looks like he has the DARK KNIGHT MOVIE Logo on the center of his back, the Classic Bat-Logo on his right shoulder, and I think the most recent is the BATMAN FIGURE on his lower back. The artwork is really cool. Now, that's a Serious Bat-Fan!! Thanks Erik for sharing these pics and please let the Tattoo Artists know that we think they have done an excellent job on all of these!

Dee's Freakin Awesome BATMAN / JOKER TATTOO Art Photo!

Check out this totally cool BATMAN/JOKER TATTOO Photo sent in by our Friend Dee who lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina! The design is mostly "Batman" but you can see the Joker's smile in the background. I also like the use of "Flying Bats" as kind of a filler for the negative space, well done. The Tattoo Artist's name is Walter Velazquez ( Photo by Nicolas Kremenchuzky ) and he did a brilliant job! Thanks for sharing this Dee, it's GREAT! If any other Bat-Blog Fans end up getting some ink done then please remember to share your pics too.

Alex's BATMAN ARKHAM CITY - JOKER Tattoo Art

OK, I think this is the very first JOKER TATTOO I've seen from the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game! Our friend Alex sent us this photo last night & said he just got this ink done the other day. He, too, thinks it's the only version of the Joker that he's seen. That's cool. I bet Mark Hamill would be very proud of this. The Joker looks totally sick right here. Plus, it has some great color and shading, AWESOME! ( Thanks Alex )

Gary's Amazing HARLEY QUINN and THE JOKER Tattoo Art Photos

We love it when Bat-Blog Fans share pictures with us and here's a great example! This is a photo from a guy named Gary who lives in Spain. He has 2 Batman-related Tattoos of The JOKER and HARLEY QUINN! The Joker, of course, is the iconic cover art done by Brian Bolland for the BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Graphic Novel. The Classic "Joker snapping a photo" image... Awesome! Next, on the other side of his arm, is a graphic of Harley Quinn. These are both great choices and the Tattoo Artist did a very wonderful job here. Thanks for sharing these Gary, very cool!

Last day of Fall (and Maple Grove).

Oh man.
I'm done with Identity Tattoo for a little while.
Don't expect to see me back there till April.
It's been an awesome 4.5 years,
and I look forward to more fun when I get back.
But for the next few months,
I'm very excited to be working out at Jeff Gogue's shop in Oregon.

My last day there was spent working on Manda's strange animal sleeve.
We colored in a lot of poppies around an antlered squirrel,
did some background,
and tried to tie everything together.
Up top is the (antlered) blue footed booby,
and the sheepgoat under that,
and then some squirrels playing in a poppy field.
(i didn't do the blue armband thing)

It was also Handsome Adam's last day,
and he's leaving for the west coast, too.
So after packing and cleaning up,
we smashed our coffee mugs and released a couple floating lanterns.
Adam's such a good dude,
and it's been a pleasure working with him for the past year.

So it's just Todd and Ben at the shop for a few months.
Do me a favor, and check up on them every once in a while.
Stop in and be loud for a minute,
just so they don't forget about me.
I'm afraid they might get soft while I'm away.
(i can almost hear Maple Grove collectively breathing a sigh of relief)

This tattoo is garbage.

It's a real thing.
And now it's not just polluting the Pacific Ocean,
but also taking up space on Adam W's forearm.
It was a lot of fun, so I hope he collects them all.
I guess every ocean has one,
due to ocean currents,
and filthy, wasteful human beings.

One week till xmas.
Which means one week till we board a plane and fly to Hawaii.
I'm gonna fly right over that big, floating garbage patch,
and spend the holidays somewhere a little less....seasonal.
I mean, you probably won't find me on a beach,
but you won't find me shoveling snow, either.

But if you're super into the holidays,
and need some new xmas jams,
head over to the Suckapants blog,
It's free, and Dark Dark Dark has a track on it.
Get caroling.

Dead Rabbit, healed.

Alleeshia came in yesterday for a quick touch up to her 11s dead rabbit tattoo, and I grabbed a few photos before I went back into it.
Black and grey healed looks so brutally different than fresh,
so I try and get healed photos whenever possible.

I'm pretty much trying to do anything right now
other than pack up and clean the house.
If you also need some beautiful distractions on a sunday,
nothing beats old Sinéad O'Connor videos.

Not Allowed in Hawaii

Oh man,
I forgot my memory [card] at work today,
so here's just a cellphone photo of the baby hedgehog tattoo I did.
It's probably better than any of the real camera shots I took, anyway.
{edit: nope, this real photo is WAY better, so i got rid of the cellphone one}

I did it on a day off because Rebecca leaves for Hawaii tomorrow.
But don't worry, she's planning on hanging out for a few months,
so I don't have to fret about her exposing it to the sand and sun while it heals.
She's moving out there to keep the Cucch company,
but we're all invited.
(except for your hedgehogs, they are illegal)
Meryl and I already have tickets (no kidding).
Christmas in Hawaii, kids.
Like pizza in Minnesota;
it exists, but it's weird and out of place.

I also got my foot tattoo finished,
so it's back to sexy gladiator sandals for the next few days.
(good thing it'll be a high of 34° tomorrow)
I have no idea what's on the books for tomorrow tattoo-wise,
but Handsome Adam is back at the shop,
so the day is starting with coffee,
and a grapefruit juice chaser.
Got to start the week off right....

A little bit of Portland.

After working/traveling/working 18 days in a row,
I was really looking forward to my first couple days off.
I was going to write this Portland blog post then,
but it was the worst weekend ever.
I should have just kept working.
No kidding, I even got into a minor car accident.
But don't worry,
I went back to work right away,
and pretended it didn't happen.

Anyway, Portland was awesome.
My people out there are the best.
I got to hang out with Elias and his housemates,
and it just so happened that everyone swung into town that week.

Optic Nerve Tattoo is a super great shop,
but almost everyone was on vacation or away while I was there.
(maybe they called my references)
A big thank you to them for hosting me.

Korel came down from Olympia to start her peahen/peacock tattoo.
We're sleeving her right arm,
and got the outline mostly taken care of the first day.

I had a few cancelations,
so when Summer came in Day 2 for her 41rst birthday tattoo,
I was happy to accommodate.
We drew on a big phoenix in sharpie,
changed the head,
and tattooed for a couple hours.
But, since I don't live nearby,
and a half-finished chest piece is hardly a way to celebrate,
Summer came back in the next day,
and we finished it up.
For reals, kids.
They don't make many this tough.
I did my best to incorporate all her other tattoos,
cleaned up parts, covered others.
Happy Birthday, Summer.

Portland is amazing,
once you see past some of the hipsterdom.
There's beautiful things and amazing people everywhere,
and a sign that says 'vegan' in every place you go.
I'm sure come January,
Meryl and I will be spending lots of time there,
and I know a little basement bedroom that's just perfect.
Thanks again to everyone that got tattooed,
showed me around,
gave me a ride,
and let me share their space.

Tom's Awesome BATMAN AND JOKER Tattoo Art Photo

Check out this extremely cool BATMAN AND JOKER TATTOO Art Photo we got the other night. It was sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Tom. This image was inspired by some original black and white art done by Comic Book Artist Jim Lee back in 2007 for a charity auction. It shows one face, half the Dark Knight, half the Clown Prince of Crime. Tom decided it should be "colorized" & then got this tattoo on the back of his left calf. It took a total of about 7 1/2 hours to finish and was done by a Tattoo Artist named Ricky at Body Graphics in Temecula, CA. I gotta say that it's very impressive. Thanks for sharing the fun pics Tom & please let Ricky know he did a great job.

Not even a real berry.

I started this nest in a strawberry plant a while ago,
but wanted to wait till I had healed photos to show it off.
Unfortunately, all of it is not quite healed yet in this photo,
and I still need to touch up the strawberries some,
but I couldn't wait any longer.
It's one of my favorites,
because of subject matter, style, and the way it fits on her leg.
I also had a lot of freedom with it,
which was super nice.
When it's 100% done and healed,
I'll get some detail shots, too,
like of the little slug on one of the leaves.

Creative JOKER AND HARLEY QUINN Batman Tattoo Art

A friend to the BAT-BLOG.COM sent us these wonderful pics the other day. These are his JOKER & HARLEY QUINN Batman Tattoos. Wow! The artwork is really cool & very creative. Both Bat-Tats are sort-of based on ancient tribal design where there's a unique abstract shape that gives you a "window to another scene" inside. Sorry, kinda hard for me to explain, but take a look at the photos and you'll get the idea... they look AWESOME!
